Around fifty cars have been smeared with what seems to be human blood in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, exterior walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they reported in a release.
Police say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement state preliminary tests suggest the substance was likely blood from a person.
